We are now looking for T W E L V E minutes of change.
TWELVE is an online movement and competition calling on creatives around the world to send short video submissions that USE the current lockdown limitations to inspire them creatively. This time we ask you: what has changed?
THE PRIZE - 3,200 USD
There’s $1,000 up for grabs for the most innovative isolated creativity.
And $200 for each finalist
What you have to do for it:
- 1 minute edited film
- Showcase how you are staying inspired and innovative during these surreal times. And ask yourselves the question: what has changed, how have I changed, how has the world changed?
Tying in our sense of community, as creatives, across the globe,all submissions must be filmed during the same hour at 10 pm GMT,
wherever in the world you are, on the 29th May. You will have 24 hours to edit your submission.
Capture one hour of creativity on lockdown, showcasing different points of the day, around the world.
There is a $1,000 prize for the winner and $200 prize for each of the 11 finalists. The Top3 will also be invited into the jury for the next round of TWELVE.
You have from now until filming day to plan and prepare what you will submit.

Endre Racz and Zsolt Csepei, winners of TWELVE round 1
Endre Racz is an actor based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He mostly performs in theatre performances,with experience in cinema and contact-improvisation performance. Zsolt Csepei is an actor, but when it comes to build up a performance, he prefers to be involved in the whole creation process, especially in writing and creative technical stuff.
Chris Vultaggio and Alexis Krauss, second in TWELVE round 1
Chris is a professional photographer/filmmaker specializing in adventure and high-end commercial work. Alexis is a singer, songwriter and front-woman of the band, Sleigh Bells, as well as an outdoor educator and guide.
Together they call the Hudson Valley their basecamp for climbing and other adventures.
Lelanie du Preez, 3rd in TWELVE round 1
Lelanie is a freelance filmmaker in South Africa, she has been editing and shooting for over 7 years. Specializing in alternative and creative projects she has been awarded multiple awards for her work throughout the years.
- In order to submit, you need to register by 29th May, 10 am GMT - once registered you will be sent an asset pack & information how to submit your video.
- Video must be 1 minute long in total, shot in 16x9. Maximum file size is 150 MB.
- All videos must portray the same hour: 10 pm GMT on the 29th of May. Click here to convert this to your timezone to find out what time your filming slot is. (Please note: this timing will be 30th May in some parts of the world so please make sure to check using this timezone converter).
- The video must show creativity & innovation while linking to the current situation and your location and must include a link to technology. This round focuses on change: We want to see how your life has changed, how the way you stay in touch has changed or you show us a change that seems important to you. Shoot & edit it creatively.
- Submissions must also include something that locates you geographically eg. views outside your window, drone shots of your street/neighbourhood etc.
- The Community Creatives and Tomorrow Unlocked will choose 24 semi-finalists. The 12 finalists will then be chosen by online voting. The winner is selected by a jury consisting of the Top3 filmmakers of the last TWELVE round.
What is Twelve?
Twelve is an online movement and competition, calling on creatives across the globe to submit 1 minute of edited content, depicting your experience of lockdown in the most creative and innovative way. The Twelve finalist films and winner will be put together into a snapshot of a surreal and unprecedented moment in our history, around the world.
Who runs it?
Twelve is a collaboration between The Community Creatives, a Bali-based creative agency and Tomorrow Unlocked, a digital content platform by Kaspersky, dedicated to telling stories about how tech can help create a better future.
How do I apply?
Applications are via the registration page only. You must register first before submitting your video. Video submissions will be on this page. Instructions will be emailed to you once you’ve registered.
What kind of things could I film?
We’re looking for creative videos that show how you are staying inspired and innovative despite the restrictions and limitations. This time we want you to focus on change: how have you changed, how has the world around you changed, how has the lockdown situation changed? We want to hear your stories.
Examples: show us your first day out securely meeting someone, show us how your way to stay in touch has changed, show us how you developed different ways of working or doing sports.
The video must also demonstrate how you are using tech (in any form) to stay connected, creative and/or sane. Eg. how you are adapting your business to online forms.

How does it work?
You have from now until 29th May 10 PM GMT to plan and prep your video.
On Filming day, 29th May, 10 PM GMT all creatives participating in the competition will do their filming during the same hour, mapping out different points of the day, all over the world. You can find out your filming slot, according to your timezone here.
You then have 24 hours to edit the video; the deadline is 30th May 10 PM GMT
The Community Creatives and Tomorrow Unlocked will choose 24 semi-finalists.
The 12 finalists will then be chosen by online voting on Instagram.
The winner is selected by our expert jury consisting of the winners of round 1.
Do I have to pay?
No. There is no fee for joining the competition, but a chance to win some money!
Why didn't I get accepted?
To make sure your submission gets accepted, make sure to register beforehand and make sure you’re following all the competition requirements.
How are the finalist and winner chosen?
We’re looking for video submissions that demonstrate creativity & innovation, despite the restrictions of life in the COVID crisis. We want to see what has changed during the last few weeks. The video must also demonstrate how you are using tech (in any form) to stay connected, creative and/or sane. Compelling stories are also really important to us. The brief is fairly open and we’ll be happy with your own creative interpretation of it.
The Community Creatives and Tomorrow Unlocked will choose 24 semi-finalists. The 12 finalists will then be chosen by online voting on Instagram. The winner is selected by a jury consisting of the winners of TWELVE, round 1.
What are the prizes?
1 winner will receive US$1,000 and all 11 finalists will win $200. Prize funds will be paid via PayPal. If you cannot accept PayPal payments, possible transfer fees will have to be covered by you.
Can I share the content?
Absolutely share away! We encourage you to be active on your social channels before, during and after the filming of your submission. Make sure you’re tagging (On Instagram) @thecommunitycreatives and @tomorrow_unlocked, with the hashtag #TwelveFilms.

I acknowledge that The Community Creatives and Tomorrow Unlocked and their legal representatives and assigns, have the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs and video footage of me or created by me, or in which I may be included, for non-commercial use in any manner and medium; and to alter and composite the same without restriction. I hereby release The Community Creatives, Tomorrow Unlocked and their legal representatives and assigns from all claims and liability relating to said photographs or video footage.
I consent with the usage of my video and my Instagram handle on the TWELVE minutes map. I consent with my videos being released on the Instagram, Facebook and YouTube channels of The Community Creatives and Tomorrow Unlocked.
For the Twelve Finalists, The Community Creatives and Tomorrow Unlocked/Kaspersky own the full rights on the video submissions.
If selected amongst the Top3, I consent to be part of the jury for the next TWELVE challenge.
